Title of Artwork, date (c) Nathalie Jacobs
KUNSTRAUM is accepting submissions for the Group Show Haunted House, Picket Fence.
–Deadline November 30, 2026–
KUNSTRAUM invites artists to submit their work for Haunted House, Picket Fence, an in-person group exhibition in Brooklyn as part of our Winter 2027 programming.
Theme
Haunted House, Picket Fence looks at what happens when normalcy and uncertainty become inseparable. The exhibition will bring together works that explore a tension between daily routine and the pressures of living in a world on edge. We welcome a range of practices that engage themes of ghostliness, vulnerability, and catharsis; which reference the complex way that contemporary life and culture are built, maintained, and constantly redefined in an era of instability. We are interested in work that reflects this tension and offers new ways of seeing and understanding a changing world. Artists working in any medium—from sculpture, photography, and video to printmaking, painting, installation, or interdisciplinary practices—are invited to apply.
Eligibility
We invite submissions across all mediums that reflect on the contrast between everyday normality and an ongoing sense of instability. Open to visual artists at all stages of practice, from emerging to established. We encourage a broad range of perspectives and approaches.
