ANA MALTA NUMPARA

Ana Malta (Lisbon, 1996) studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and has a master's degree in Creative Industries Management from UCP-Porto.

Her work is developed through the study of color, patterns, composition, and scratching materials, vehicles of her plastic and visual unconscious. A work where restlessness seeks aesthetics and where dialogue is based on transforming the "error" into opportunities.

The artist is part of the artistic collective VÊS.TRÊS and was one of the 10 finalists in the "Prémio A Arte Chegou ao Colombo" in 2021; won the "José Mendonça Award - Visual Arts | Betar" in 2023; and was named "Breakthrough Artist" by Cultura inquieta at ArtMadrid 2024.

The artist did a residency in Guarda 2023 and has another planned in New York 2024. She also took part in the Estampa Madrid contemporary art fair in 2023, represented by Maria Porto Gallery, and in ArtMadrid 2024, represented by Galeria São Mamede.
