ABY M'BAYE
Aby M'baye is a French-Senegalese comedian, storyteller, playwright, poet, director, photographer, arts therapist, and creative coach. She often jokes that her life feels like a Netflix series! Her artistic practice explores the fragile and powerful bonds connecting people across cultures and cities.
Born and raised in Paris, Aby received her first poetry prize at the age of twelve for a poem about Galileo. That same year, she discovered theater, making her school laugh and cry with her performances. At the age of 20, she wrote and staged her first play titled The Hat in Paris.
Discovering New York City and photography in 2022, Aby entered the contemporary art scene and launched an art book and anthology, The New York Poets, in 2024. She wrote and directed the play, Burn Baby Burn, in New York in 2025.
Aby holds a Master’s degree in Theatre from the University of Paris 8 | Saint Denis and Sorbonne Nouvelle University. She also has a Photography certificate from Gobelins Paris and The Artist Academy.
