AMIR JAMES SMITH
Amir James smith (2006) is an artist from Connecticut currently based in New York City, who through his art, hopes to spark dialogue, and connection with others through his expressive and powerful painting style, based upon his own adventures, and lived experience. Amir also studied horticulture and botany in school and grew his love of the natural world during his time working on a farm in his youth. These are large sources of inspiration for Amir.
Amir has participated in the studio Kura artist residency in Fukuoka Japan and there he held a solo show titled “PURE EVIL UZUMAKI” as well as participating in a morning teaching session with the local children.
