MINA KIM
Mina Kim is a Korean-born multidisciplinary artist working across installation, sculpture, painting, and drawing. Her practice centers on repetitive, labor-intensive processes using wire, twist ties, and other everyday materials to explore the relationship between physical structure, shadow, and two-dimensional image.
Kim earned an MFA in Fine Arts and a BFA with Honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and previously received BFA and MFA degrees in Metal Art & Design from Hongik University in Seoul. Her recent solo exhibitions include Between Lines and Breath at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Structures of Repetition at Rosewood Arts Center in Kettering, Ohio; and Lines at SVA CE Project Space in New York. A solo exhibition at Andrew Chang SVA Seoul Gallery is scheduled for 2027.
She has been selected for residencies at VCCA, Vermont Studio Center, and KUNSTRAUM LLC, and was the SVA Fine Arts nominee for the Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship. Her work has been featured in The Hand Magazine, Dayton Daily News, BoldJourney, and Atopia Art Magazine.
