Born in 1973 (Brussels, Belgium), Valerie is an international abstract painter living and working in South of Brussels, interested in the themes of memories of place and healing.
Nature has always been an inspiration in her search for serenity as a reaction to fibromylgia, a stress-related disease. Valerie currently explores the reductionist approach of the seascape as a mental refuge that helps to cope with the symptoms of the disease.
Since September 2020, I am an MFA candidate in Painting at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Her work has been awarded and exhibited in Europe and the USA.
