SANDRA ZANETTI

Born at the turn of the century in Chicago, Sandra Zanetti is an artist, curator, and writer. She utilizes a variety of hardware, software, and new media techniques to produce critical commentary on the cyclical friction of the physical, political, and psychological landscapes shaped by the evolution of technological advances throughout time.

Zanetti’s work grows from inquiries surrounding the complexities of the issues prevalent in today's digitally saturated, postwar society. Taking the form of sardonic fire-starters for crucial debates, the artist leads the audience to a better understanding of the precarious, rapidly changing world in which we live. Zanetti's experiences working in a variety of media outside of her practice, including theatrical production, fashion, photography, and computational applications, has informed the juxtaposition of a variety of material. Her research results in illuminated pathways to the present, past, and future.
