Cesar Valdes is a Colombian artist. He studied Visual
Arts at the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, Colombia,
and has been working as a pedagogical assistant at the
foundation FLORA Ars+Natura for two years. For the past two months, he has been working on paintings for his show ‘Familia y Tradición,’ part of a longer process of reconstruction of family history through strange images. Cesar will continue this exploration in June at an artist residency in upstate New York at Mildred’s Lane, an experimental contemporary art complex directed by J. Morgan Puett and Mark Dion.
