Bix Archer is an artist and art worker from
San Francisco. She received her B.A. from Yale University in 2019. Recently, her work has investigated the relationship between hippie counterculture and the early internet, and their impact on the visual and cultural landscape of the Bay Area and the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood where she grew up. Her research and work on this subject are supported by a grant from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.
Outside the studio, Bix has worked as an educator and public programmer at institutions including the Brooklyn Museum, the Shed, and the Yale University Art Gallery.
