MALLORY MCPHERSON

Mallory McPherson is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist who predominately works in black and white. Her mediums include super 8 film, relief prints, oil, acrylic, charcoal, and ink.

Mallory’s work explores emotional landscapes. She is interested in the language of memory and paints moments from her daily life. Uninterested in perfection or beauty standards, Mallory creates from an internal source.

After getting her undergrad in poetry and film, Mallory lived in an intentional community in Scotland where she made her first experimental film and had her first solo show. She worked with redline art center in Denver to promote social change through art. Additionally, she taught art and gardening at transitional housing communities and youth shelters. She now lives in Brooklyn.
